| Hey everyone, i am just writing to find out if anyone knows any routes from Bangor to London via bath.
I KNOW its a complete mad one. My b/f's cousin has come to visit from Australia and he has this idea fixed in his head that he can come and visit us and then they can both have a nice easy ride back to London through the countryside in the space of four days or so. They are both very fit and so i think this would not be an impossible physical challenge for them. Part of me hopes that i am wrong to think it something very difficult to plan and complete and it is something that could be done without any bother.
He would also like to go via bath because someone on the plane said it was a lovely area to go cycling and kind of in the right direction.
I have been looking at maps, and to be honest, i am quite hopeless at that sort of thing. I wish there was a website where you could just type from where to where and a route would flash up on the screen but so far none from Bangor to London LOL.
Ok, so, so far i am thinking the A55 is nice, through all the mountains to Llangollen and all that, and then the A483 kind of thing, but from here onwards i feel terribly vague, i know that some A roads can seem more motorway like and choking than others which are basically country lanes so it is very hit and miss.
I am interested to hear any advise and help from any pro's. Part of me doesnt want to tell him to give up this idea, because i am a great advocate of crazy adventures and spontaneity so i would be greatful if anyone were able to come in and tell me to stop being such a wet cloth and "Of COURSE you can do that, just go down here, here and here...its EAsy, i dont know what you were making such a fuss about". But also if it is something that any of you want to comment on being quite impossible, and if not that, very difficult or "complicated to plan", "requiring a-lot of time" i would appreciate these comments too so i can pass them onto him so that he can make some more informed decisions.
Thanks
Love Nell.
