Also, if you get up onto the ridge top by Pontypool you can follow the buried gas pipeline all the way to Brynmawr. Quite a nice ride. You could cross from cwmcarn to the sirhowy valley and play about there too. Tons of fun. South wales is great for biking. |

Any one else cycling in the area. Im nowhere near the level of long distance but enjoying an 11 mile route at the present time |

When you get a bit more into it I'd suggest cycling as far a Abergavenny but it can be quite tiring and if your fitness is not up to scratch might turn you off cycling for life!! lol Seriously the part from Jockey to Goytre is treacherous. Another good ride is Blaenavon, again you can drop down into Abergavenny Cheers Andrew |
