Myself and three friends are planning a trip in Portugal. This is the first time any of us has attempted a trip of this nature. Can anybody provide any tips for a trip of this nature or any help in planning a route. Cheers

never been there with a bike in mind, but i've heard the main road across the bottom of Portugal, which i think passes through Faro, is the most dangerous road in Europe.

Be careful with your route selection!

www.theaa.com will give you a route planner with map, but clearly not cycle specific.
you can avoid motorways, though
