Looking for a route to commute from Cambusbarron Stirling to Cumbernauld Village

Hi all I'm New!!

I've recently moved to Stirling and looking to commute to work a couple of times a week to Cumbernauld, As far as I can see the best route is thru Denny,bonnybridge, then up to Canal at Allandale & thru Castlecary. Not sure if this is the best route or not as I am not completely familiar with the area. This is approx 16 miles by the road as not sure of any short cuts.

Anyone any thoughts on this?

Thanks Loafer, I have now found a route which is shorter than I had origional found, websites you gave me were very helpful.
