My employer is a Global Organisation involved in the Para-Olympics and is sponsering 3 athletes. In light of this I am organising an event to raise further money for a charity involved in the Para-Olympics, and to get our staff involved and supporting this historic GB event. We are planning a relay type cycling event from Edinburgh to London. Where to start my planning??? Has anyone ever arranged something like this before? I could really do with a starting point and suggested routes... Thanks Sam |

That's a total of 29 hours. to beat 24 hours, you need an average of just over 18mph. All depends on how many members you have in your team! good luck to you! as for a start point - go for Holyrood Palace / the Scottish Parliament / Holyrood Park for best publicity opportunities. As fo somewhere to finish in London Village - no idea! your lowest costs are going to be a rolling relay with a van, i'd expect. either your own van / camper, or a hire one for the whole team, therefore no accommodation costs, meals where you want them, and ever-present repair shop etc to keep everything on track. All do-able over a weekend without taking a day off!!! |
