Cycling in West Cork

Joined: 23 Sep 2010 Posts: 1 Bike: | Anyone done any cycling in West Cork, eg, from Cork city to Gougane Barra,on to Glengarriff, Sheeps Head's Penninsula,Ballydehob, Clonakilty,Ross Carbury, Kinsale and back to Cork. What is terrain like, many hills, easy to find palces to stay?? All information appreciated. Mary |

Joined: 10 Oct 2010 Posts: 2 Bike: | i have cycled the beara cycle route, the sheeps head cycle route, the beara gougane beara route and the route from macroom into cork city. the one from near macroom into cork city is awful scenery wise and safety wise but the other three are well worth doing scenery wise and safety wise. i have reported on all of them except for the beara gougane barra route (which is well worth doing) on my website www.travellogueireland.com.
