Bike:

Getting back into the saddle again after a long period of ill health. Have done a gentle run to Oughterard and back over a bank holiday weekend and a long weekend run Galway to Tuam return.

Now I have about 10 days to do a gentle run to Cork via Limerick and back to try to get used to being out again for a longer period of time with a view to a much longer 2 year trip in 2012/13/14.

I now have a trailer so will be totally self sufficient, wild camping and self-catering and occasional couch surfing to recharge phone batteries etc.

I am limited to cycling in daylight hours only and am still riding a Peugeot 103 Carbolite which I have had since 1986.

If anyone has any comments regarding the route - especially nice views, archaelogical sites of interest, potential wildcamping sites in woods or similar etc., I would welcome any input please.

If I can get my mileometer to work again, I will port the route and points of interest on m return.
