Not that im very good and I am out of practice and not as quick as I was...but I am keen to raise money by doing a round Ireland tour with my back pack and tent. Was thinking 80-100 miles a day would be doable for me, especially as I suspect it will be windy and hilly;) I am aware you are going to be heading off on your trip this week or maybe already have, If you can help me in anyway to get my trip planned I would be very grateful. Im keen to know routes and tips for survival in terms of bike stuff and gear I need to take. Hints on practical stuff really;) Cheers and good luck with your ride. Fran |

I have a cousin who did the ride around ireland last year and so I will be using his maps and lots of hints from him. I also intended to couch surf at a few places for some comfort and food. But mostly hostel it I hope. Are you doing it alone and how long were you thinking of taking to complete the trip? I will def pass on any information I get to help you plan your trip. Cheers Fran |

So, I'm from South Africa and was hoping to cycle the coast of Britain next year - 6600km, but it's a bit tough getting funding, so I thought I'd try Ireland (not the north though, cos i need a visa). Does anyone know how many miles it is around the coast of Ireland? Cheers Candy |
