I have moved on from traditional style drop handlebar touring bikes to the European style Hybrid ones with Flat handlebars, wider tyres and front suspension, which are ideal for me as I mainly ride trails where possible and I have some dodgy discs in my neck so have to be more upright in my seating position than when I was younger. I have been looking at Cube bikes and they look very well made and they are one of the few manufacturers that makes a range of touring bikes in this style. Has anyone got experience of them as they are not a particulalrly common bike in the UK ? |

I preferred roads though as some of the trails had quite big boulders. My brain needs more time to adjust to trails. Bike can manage but I prefer road surfaces. My brakes are Hydrolic rim brakes. When I was going down steep descents (hairpin sometimes) I kept stopping to check that the rims were clear. Hope this helps. They are not popular bikes in the UK but are in Europe. |
