I have had 6 punctures in the last 4 months, two on front and 4 on back. Unlucky may be, but I would appreciate any thoughts on best make of tyre as I will probably soon be looking to replace. They have done about 1600+ miles.

Wow, that is unlucky.

I think every tyre you could go for would be vulnerable to those elements. What have you been using up til now?

I have a Ridgeback Hybrid and would recommend Schwalbe Marathon Plus to anyone. I managed LEJOG with zero punctures, and do around 7000 miles a year. One puncture in 15 months. I bought a new tyre three months ago for the back wheel and haven't fitted it yet. Still plenty of tread on both tyres.

Best £45 I've spent on cycling gear!

Using Schwalbe CX Comp. They were supplied with the bike and supposed to be puncture resistant! BTW unlucky is my middle name...lol.

Would deffo agree with txbnet, I have used Schwallbe Marathon Plus tyres on my Tricross for the last 19 months and have had zero punctures.

You cannot buy a better puncture resistant tyre and they are pretty good rolling tyres also.
