Tower Hill to Westminster avoiding the Embankment - Help!

Joined: 02 Sep 2010 Posts: 1 Bike: | Hi, I did my first cycle to work today and having tried it out at the weekend cycled from Tower Hill to Westminster along the Embankment. It was a complete nightmare, lots of fumes, lots of traffic to weave through and people driving way too close! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows how I could get between these 2 points on slightly more pleasant roads? Thanks |

Joined: 13 Sep 2010 Posts: 2 Bike: | Hi Not sure if this would work for you, or indeed whether there are any designated cycle routes, but would it be safer for you to cross over the bridge and then come back north when you reach Westminster? I'm sure there's a code of conduct that allows cyclists to ride along the South Bank as long as predestrians take precedent. |
