Touring across Europe

 Joined: 31 Aug 2010 Posts: 1 Bike: | Hi, i have just finished college and am an enthusiastic cyclist. I'm planning on buying a touring bike and just going round Europe for a couple of months. I plan to go some time around April, so i have plenty of time to earn money and plan the trip. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on such a trip, i.e what type of bike, what to take with me etc. Also, i am keen to cycle across Spain from Santander and then through to the rest of Europe, and was just wondering what sort of roads i should be planning on cycling on and what they would look like on an OS map. As on OS maps i don't know weather the road is a main road or a quiet country lane (preferred). Any feedback would be much appreciated, Jacob :) |
