Hi
I am aiming to cycle from my home town Bournemouth to Scotland (final destination tbc) and wondered whether there was a route planner for non motorway routes / cycle friendly routes - or is my best bet to use a sat nav (avoiding motorways)?
Thanks,
B

I could suggest a route but it depends on how long you plan to take and what kind of riding you want to do.
There are many cycle routes but sometimes you want to be on the road .
Also cycle routes are not always the most direct route.
But you could go Bournemouth
Ringwood
Salisbury
Marlborough
Letchlade
Stown on the Would
Follow Fosse Way north A429
up through Warwick
Then onto Ltchfield here you need to decide weather you want to go up west side of penines or east as after litchfield its into Ashbourne Derbyshire, where you going in Scotland!

Yup, you kinda have to know your destination/timeframe before deciding on a route...
