In the early part of next year I have been somewhat coerced to cycle a large distance for the Meningitus Trust. Initially my thoughts was the traditional Lands End to John O'Groats however this seems somewhat difficult in the seven day period we have allotted. Okay its possible, but I was looking for another route, less popular and not so well tarvelled to boost sponsorship £s. We are all new to cycling (except for when kids) and am probably thinking 100-125 miles per day. help please.

Why not try the Lon Las Cymru from Holyhead down to Chepstow followed by the Celtic Trail, should be done in 7 days I think

London to Paris is a regular (but easy & short) route

go for Edinburgh to Paris

do-able in 5 days
(480 miles / 4 days to Newhaven & 110 miles / 1 day from Dieppe to Paris)

a day to get to the start, and a day for boozing in Paris and getting home

7 days

job's a good'un.
