I am looking to do this ride in the summer (2012). Does anyone have any route suggestions. I would like to keep off the main roads as much as possible.

I have been researching this route to do it in May 2012. For the first leg NCN Route 81 looks ideal to Wolverhampton. There are maps from Sustrans on Route 81 with leaflets from Ceredigion & Shropshire Councils which are helpful

Next leg is intended to take us to Peterborough before taking us across Norfolk to end at Lowestoft

I am looking for GPS mapping of the route if I find I will let you know

Have a look at www.cyclestreet.co.uk put in your start and end point and they do the rest. You end up with 3 options of route you can choose the one that suits you best, I also have bikeroutetoaster open in another window and copy the route with my own adjustments where I want them,simply download from bikeroutetoaster to my GPX the finished route.
