I'm doing this route myself in April as part of my Luton to Paris charity ride, and I am going through Abbeville and Beauvais. It splits the Calais-Paris trip into three legs of approximately 80 miles each for a nice relaxed day of cycling.

My Profile
I prefer crossing from newhaven to Dieppe - the area north of Boulogne is not as nice as the countryside around Baie de Somme - if you want to go via Abbeville but there is a cycle path along an old railway from Dieppe to Forge les Eaux from where you can get to Seine river and Paris

My Latest Route: Dec 2011 Round Rutland

Thanks for the suggestion. I've already booked the tickets and planned the route for this trip. However this won't be my last ride to Paris, so I'll keep the Newhaven route for my trip in August.
