TOUR de KENT

I live in Whitstable and a friend from the Midlands is coming down to Kent in a week (4 Sept.) so that we can do some cycling in Kent (essentially in an area lying between Tunbridge Wells - Folkestone - Margate- Maidstone). Our preference would be offroad cycle routes --- especially paved ones! --- that are not too taxing or hilly and which might have pubs situated at strategic points. In other words, NOT Tour de France, but rather Tour de Kent.
Any suggestions?
