Based in the Washington/Gateshead area
ride hardtail MTB
Cycle NCN routes, i.e Washington to Consett via Durham and return to Washington or Washington to Stanhope.

I spent nine month with the WFCG it’s getting too predictable; Durham, Shields or the Rising Sun Countryside Centre.

My Profile 		Hi, i go out with the wfcg as well. Not very often though. Thinking of doing a ride up the north side of the Tyne to Wylam or depending on the weather further on to Prudhoe, Hedley, Shotley Bridge and back down C2C. I'm easy though. Always open to suggestions of changes to route etc.

Can meet at Follingsby Roundabout 9:30 or 10 or earlier?
Where do you plan to stop for grub?

My Profile 		Hi Dave, make it 9.30 at the roundabout. If there are to be any cancellations due to bad weather forecasts etc., keep an eye out on here saturday night. Keep each other posted.
Trying to coax my mate out as well but he's been a bit crook lakely, so might not see him sunday.
Can't recall seeing any cafes on the route, but theres a Greggs on the quayside for a cuppa, couple of pubs on the way round, and theres a tescos on Blackhill at consett.
I'll be using my MTB for this ride as well.

My Profile 		well the news is 2 discs need work ,but im not crying so he said we will wait till you are in pain more .so thats ok i can work as for riding im slowly getting back into it ,think ive put 2 stone on :(
anyways coming back from bupa they was fixing bridge so there was a diversion ,this dentist guy ended up going same way .we missed turning ended going through the trail and ended up at that massive hill before the causey or south causey pub . now that hill done me i never got off but the dentist was away i said enjoy your ride im taking me time lol ended coming out at shield row .

My Profile 		dinner time im riding to parkhead .my mates just got a bike so i will see if he likes the track .
will have a cuppa at the stop ....
then on way back i have to go to bikes n bits he might have a new bike i fancy .
anyways eltel you been getting owt much .
as for hospital the less i hear off them the better .

My Profile 		Only been out a couple of times this year so far. Really cold runs, one really wet. Have'nt even been using bike for work. Just looking forward to some half decent weather and getting out to favourite areas again. Also looking forward to doing some sportives and rides like Durham Big Ride, and The Beast again. Bet you're the same!

My Profile 		i sure am eltel ,well the bike ive decided to get is a hard tail merida 29 inch wheels ,pick it up next saturday,ive got me saracen sold already that goes monday or tuesday ...being told good things about 29 inch wheels .
if i feel up to the beast yes i will do it .as for the big ride touch wood i will make it .

My Profile 		Well my cycling seems to have ground to a near halt since the weather got colder.

Apart from having no front suspension the cap fits the OPs post so if you have a coming Sunday ride lead in mind count me in.
