Both of these routes promise some lovelly coastal views. I can recommend any ride around Bembridge, Brading & St.Helens as thats the area I usually stay on the island. Alternativelly there is the Newport to Cowes cycle way, about 5 miles of flat track, an old rail line, completely off road. The only way to get any flatter is to iron it. I used it hell of a lot in 2009, whilst stopping at Thorness Bay. Other than that a map book, to plan your own routes - RED BOOKS - ISLE OF WIGHT street atlas, full coverage of the whole island at a reasonable scale [I wear varifocals too] ISBN 1-84192-329-X their website www.redbooks-maps.co.uk Best Wishes - Kev |
| My Latest Route: Apr 2011 Barwell, Stokegolding, Stapleton Circuit | |
