hi there,

I'm a newbie to the forum, but let's give it a shot.

Looking for a cycling apps on my phone and wanted to get some feedback first. With all the different apps on the market I wondered if it is necessary to pay for one or if the free once are just as good.

I want to be able to plan my route and record my stats. A bonus would be if they had a way to share stats online.

I looked at B.iCycle for £6.99 vs BikeFlux which is free. Both seem to offer a way to track your route and navigation. Both offer average speed and distance statistics and seem to work fine on my iPhone 4.

Has any of your tested these or others you can recommend? Thanks

I use and would reccomend cyclemeter.

You can import GPX files if you need to.

It records my route, and plots it on a google map, it have avg spped, max speed and ODO per bike too.

You can have it email you after you complete a ride - thats what I've posted here.....

Thank smithgt

I'll give this a go. Getting good results with bikeflux so far, but up for comparing. Is it free or paid?

Sorry I'm cheapskate.
