Take a look at http://www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php and select OSMcycle on the top right of the main map, to display the routes. |

Head out of Durham on the regional route 20 towards Willington come off the cycle path at Brandon - Station Road. Head south to the main road, A690, turn left then first right on to Browney Lane. Follow this road until you meet the A167. Follow the 167 to Ferryhill, head up to the market place, follow this road to Ferryhill Station, don't cross the railway line at Ferryhill Station, but keep it on your left side. Stay on this route to the A689. Join the A689 to cross the A1(M) After crossin the A1(M) take the first right past the services. Stay on these quieter back raods through Mordon, Great Stainton and Sadberge. Approx 1.5 miles south of sadberge you will meet the NCN 14 which will take you into Darlington. Hope this may be of help. |
