Got a lot of technical feedback re-sit measurements. What i was told to do was sit on a plank of wood and adopt a cycling position. The point where your "bum bones" come into contact with the plank is your "sit measurement" you need to be able to mark the bottom of the plank where you feel your bum bones touching. I did this and it turned out my saddle matched my sit measurement. (measure the distance between the two points on the bottom of your plank then measure roughly your saddle) After a bit more asking around i moved my seat forward half an inch and surprise surprise i can cycle a lot further without any real discomfort. Most people ive spoken to say if you cycle often enough your body adapts to the discomfort ? I rode 30 miles yesterday after not riding for 3 months (running instead of cycling) and i had only minor discomfort....hope this helps. regards dudley |

It sounds obvious but I used to get numbness when I had cheaper saddles but since upgrading to a better quality one I've had no issues at all. Currently using a Selle Italia flight and it's great. |
