Hi Guys

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, i cycle quite alot to work and on wednesday I started to get pain (dull ache) in my left foot on the outside about halfway both underneath and on the top, feels itchy sometimes!. Its getting worse, I think its to do with the trainers i used and think ive strained it or something. Anyone else had this problem and any answers? when i walk it hurts as well, quite bad.

Yes , I do the same commute 40 mile a day, and started to get aches in the bottom of my feet. I also was wearing trainers. So I bought a pair of cycling shoes from Aldi. I do not have cleats, but they are quite trainer like, but they have quite a rigid sole, this helps spread the load better and it has helped me.

I have a similar problem. It's not bad when I cycle but much worse when I walk. It's worse when I get up in the morning after a nights sleep but eases off after 10 minutes or so. It was diagnosed as 'Plantar Fasciitis'. There is little they can do for it but they say it will go away but could take as long as two years. I'm not saying this is what you have but you can read more on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantar_fasciitis
