Bike:

Hi all

We are travelling to france from the UK with our bikes, stored in bike boxes for the flight. We are then cycling a one way route from Bordeaux to Marseille and I wondered if anyone had any experience of couriering them internally? I obviously know of the larger international companies like fed ex and dhl, but as we taking two weeks to cycle, I would love somewhere that will store bikes too and none of the above companies seem to be too clear on whether they will or won't - it all feels a little unsure.

Be great if anyone has used another service.

Thank you

Lucy

Hi
Have you considered taking them there in bike box from a bike shop?
Then you can dump the box and pick up an empty box from a bike shop at your destination?
I did that on a trip to spain, i wasnt planning to but the box was ripped whilst unloading it from the back of the rental car. So i went to a local bike shop and got a replacement.
If you are staying in a hotel or pension they should be able to hold onto stuff for you if you let them know in advance, so sending stuff ahead should be ok.

Good luck.
