Burgess Hill to Brighton - possible and safe for a daily commute?

Joined: 12 Apr 2011 Posts: 2 Bike: | Hi I am hoping someone might know of a good and safe route from Burgess Hill, West Sussex to Brighton (ideally to Falmer, but I think that would be near impossible). |

Joined: 12 Apr 2011 Posts: 2 Bike: | Hmm, problem is you're limited by the South Downs, i.e. they haven't built that many roads! I think you've got two options: Option 1: Hero route - straight up ditchling beacon, then either down coldean lane, or via the traffic free route that'll take you into Stanmer Park - heroic but a 10% incline both ways! Option 2: Longer, cut along to Lewes, then along the cyclepath along the A27 to Falmer Option 3: Equally long - Use London Road to get into central Brighton, then back out again along Lewes road. |
