derailieur gear

Joined: 07 Jul 2011 Posts: 3 Bike: | OK - New Whyte hybrid bike. Only ridden 3 times. When the chain is on the small front chain set and on the large rear cog the derailieur gear is rubbing on top of the large cog and making a grim noise. Only just started and taking back to store tomorrow for adjustment but any ideas as what may have happened? Hope you are all enjoying the good weather! Regards from Rossendale and thanks is advance. Joined: 25 Feb 2010 Posts: 169 Bike: My Profile | Not 100% sure I get what is going on but there are a limited number of suspects: 1) tension issue in derailleur cable 2) limiter screws 3) chain tension Bike shop you got it from is the best place for your new bike, no charge. Good luck Jools. |
