| Hi, am a new member from Lincolnshire.
Taken up cycling again at 49 because I need more exercise after being diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic.

| Well, welcome to cycle-route.com. Hope the site is able to provide you with inspiration for your own cycling. It really is just an amazing way of seeing the countryside, and the benefit of keeping you healthy is just a nice wee added bonus.
Hi John.
I assume you'll have seen the Lincolnshire routes page, though it is pretty empty at the moment. Hopefully you'll find some nice new ones to add.

| Hi John,
One of my relatives was the same, after he got diagnosed with diabetes he took up cycling and it has made a big improvement.
He doesn't go on big cycles, just short ones regularly with a cycling group in Glasgow.
Currently there is only 1 route in Lincolnshire, but if you know of any more please add them for others to see.
Thanks

| Your thread is a little old now, but I'm also a new member; in Lincolnshire, we should be able to post some routes between us as I see another Yellow Belly also a new member.
I've just posted a thread on legal aspects of cycle routes, i.e when is a "walk" not suitable for cycling; legally? etc, don't want to fall foul of law or other users etc,
regards, alan

| Hi Snowie,
Glad to have you on board. Just some questions I like to ask new members to find out more about them. What sort of cycles do you enjoy most, what type of bike do you ride and where do you cycle most frequently.
Cheers

| Hello happy;
without getting too nostalgic;
I'm coming up to 60, so I'm cycling for pleasure and health, at a sedate but purposeful pace. I've just taken delivery of a C_B Legend hybrid, and am planning some routes around the Wolds "as we speak"
I'm mindful of the differences between walkers/walks and cyclists/cycle routes, so I'm trying to find routes that don't cause problems, but are free of traffic and scenic,
I'll lurk a while and see what others post and maybe pass on my discoveries,
regards
