Does anyone have any experience of the Bike Sheds at Walthamstow Central and/or Chingford stations? I've got a very good bike chain that should do the trick but want to check the Roadie is not going to go missing or get stripped of anything useful if I leave it there too long!

Sorry can't be much help on those stations but want to know if anyone has any experience/knowledge about the lock up racks at Liverpool St station. I've recently started cycling to work and my building landlords won't let me park my bike in entrance hall (health & safety/fire escape bla bla) so don't want to leave it chained to railings in street. Liverpool St is nearest station. Also would appreciate recommendations for good lock/chain.

I used East Coast recently and locked up at Darlington Station and Newcastle Central. I've noticed some stations are now placing bike racks on the station platform. I think this is a step in the right direction as you can't access the platform without a valid travel ticket, the barriers are always staffed and there's lots of travelling passengers around, all of which should deter a bike thief. I use a kyrptolock 2 series D lock with a metal strap through both wheels. I take my pump and tool kit off the bike. I do lock my cycle helmet to the bike though to save carrying it around. No issues so far!
